Saturday 29th January, 2011
Congee breakfast then bauhaus factory outlet with johnson and his mum
yumcha-ed with some of his family
one of his cousin would be going around aust for a working holiday
so we sort of clicked cos i hear things from various other working holiday people and got excited <3

watched 新少林寺 with andy lau and nicholas tse and tiny bit of jacky chan and some other chinese fighting actor
...
once again... nothing very bad...
acting was quite impressive since it was andy lau and nich tse, nich tse makes quite a good evil guy btw :D
pretty shots pretty scenes... but it prob dragged on a little bit too long at various places to "show off" the acting skills for my liking
overall cliche plot that ran quite smoothly due to many years of refining a formula =P

then went home a little too late for tuen nin faan where all the elders of the family appeared in the house
where awesome food cannot be absent since my dad is around and also the newish uncle who is actually a professional cook who cut our baby pig so pro-ly.

Highlight: Johnson's graduation from his AIA Apprenticeship where the speeches at the ceremony made me feel like the whole program is a cult =P

Real highlight: mum fully cooperating and called me to get me home so i can get out of their after party XDD
is sort of mean but i don't really feel like drinking with people i don't know at all =P

but i did wear my new super high heels and was super tall =P

I feel like Macau day deserves a whole entry to itself but cos it's late and its early CNY morning i think i would rather sleep...

thanks Kenny for going to the new wharf that even he hasn't been to before, taking us around all day, and shouting us the lovely dinner!
thanks William for eventually picking up Kenny's call and joining us for dinner and giving us endless opportunities to laugh til i lost my breath~

I thank God for this beautiful creation, and yet again for my brothers and sisters to share it with, even though this is only a temporary world.

Catching up with my life

because i have been lazy and has been ordered to hang around my parents' bed more often before they go to sleep rather than going online on Ophelia in the living room...

i'm obviously very behind on blogging, so let's summarise once again

Met up with Valerie Rose at iSquare @ TST,
and was reminded that this girl doesn't need any physical or financial support,
but needs all the emotional support and love that one can give.
Must remember to give her more :-)

Also found out she doesn't particularly like Japanese food, or rather, any cuisine that's got a sweet twist to it, besides a proper dessert dish.
Must remember that also.

Went to some old people's home with MK Baptist fellowship to supposedly clean their tiny little studio, or just a tiny room with a sink rather, but the old person we were supposed to find was super agile and didn't let us clean his stuff even though he's got dishes unwashed piled up in the sink.
He used to be a professional cook apparently~

No matter, we talked to him and he was happy for us to come visit him again.
Hope we can do that and not lie :-)


Monday 25th January, 2011
Began the day nice and early~ in preparation for one whole day of food and fun
only to find myself the only there on time T_T
In the end, cherry tong, dai big, cho and the late coming dikdik all got there..
But I swear no one besides donna qualifies to warn me not to be late no more =.=

So the first stop was the awesome dimsim that is at Sham Shui Po recommended by Osco Cho aka Michelin Food Guide XD

All the dim sim were generally quite awesome, but the must try would be the 蘿蔔糕 (carrot cake) and 叉燒包 (BBQ pork bun)

like OMG just looking at this photo makes me feel like eating it again.

and i shall wahaha 

when ang comes back :D:D:D:D:D

the next stop was K at mk where sai lo and some other ridiculously late and disorganised person finally joined us =P

sang for... about 5 hours i think...

started to run out of songs to sing O_o 

so we left for dinner and where we were joined by jeremy and johnson

the service at that hot pot place was horribly unprofessional, rude and disrespectful

the food was acceptably mediocre but was definitely overpriced 

overall pathetic impression of the place and will never set foot in there ever again

*is super unimpressed*

So this day began beautifully but ended not so cool-ly.

but overall still some awesome time catching up with old time brothers and sisters <3

Tuesday 26th January, 2011

Basically stayed at home all day

Got rejected by boyfriend for dinner cos he said he was too tired and too poor, 

but who went to play arcade games after his day of outing

sigh

so went out to have dinner with parents who left early for their theological lessons

and i had to finish my dinner in a restaurant alone sitting at a 4 seater.... 

is also unimpressed.

so got myself a ring to make myself feel better (lol)

Financial meeting again with my personal financial planner/boyfriend at Starbucks@Gateway

left for some super overpriced wanton noodle and quite nice hongky street side cheung fun

walked around kowloon park aquatic centre and the park itself for fun :-)

mum on holiday again so got woken up by her voice telling me that we're going to yum cha with ah poh in like... less than an hours time =P

then walked further out to the local supermarket for cheap cat food then window shopped around with mum at jusco in preparation for the 5% off on the 2nd of Feb XD

okay that's one week done~

now on to this week...

剛收到消息
本姑娘要失業了

雖然可以花的錢會少了
但讀書看聖經的時間該會多一點吧
(真的做才好...)

不過 失業的第一天先拍了天拖 :-)
幹了些很是情侶會做的事
吃飯逛街看浪漫喜劇 "非誠勿擾II"

電影是好漂亮
角色描述得好真實好可愛
對話有笑點有感動點
他們自己跟互相之間的關係也是有成長的說
但就這樣吧
沒甚麼其他記得的...

那太誇張了吧?!

Someone else's family day

visited Cherry Tong's church's high school fellowship (lol)
the four of us, Bonnie, Cherry Tong, Johnson and me, walked in "Celia" style
guess we didn't scare them as much as we thought

young girls scream a lot and at a really high pitch these days
they were quite friendly though
awesome cake eating style
unfortunately we're most prob too old to stay in that fellowship :x

then joined Johnson's family for random family mj gathering
learnt how to play china style mj
very fast and nervous and exciting O_O
won $70 for Johnson during his toilet break~ oh yeah
his family were all generally cute :D
i think his yee ma loves me already cos i think she's also a nurse and i'm an awesome nurse daughter XDDD


came back home with a bunch of mum and dad's classmates from theology school
after they left dad tried to cut the cats' (note position of apostrophe) nails
vikki went through totally fine cos he's awesome like that
but in attempt to catch dingding...

yea that was basically the main point of this blog.

I thank God for already giving me opportunities to serve at church in Hong Kong,

I pray that I will have a humble servant heart and so would willingly use the gifts that God has given me for the  edification of the church.

Day off

Yesterday i had my first weekday off since i started working last week...

began the day nice and early cos we're poor
early session is HKD55 instead of the HKD100 at night!!
the two of us saved HKD90 in total!!

before we walked in to watch Narnia: the Voyage of the Dawn Treader
we walked in and out of KFC failing to get portugese tarts for breakfast.

so we scrapped that and just walked into the cinema.
move was alright.
CGs still pretty, kids were... arguably less annoying than before, Prince Caspian still hot XD
but everything just seemed really rushed.
nothing in particular impressed me very much... just everything was quite pretty in general?
i feel like the movie didn't do the book justice even though i haven't read the book, hence i shall read the book... some time soon.
it is at least on my list of bedtime stories to read to my children when i have some XDDDD

then we walked into 信和 to both look for 2nd hand amei/faye or whatever CDs, as well as sell my signed Bosco EP T__________________T
after looking through the shop and failing to find the amei CD i wanted, i gathered all the courage i had in the little volume i have and asked the shop owner if i could sell my CD here.

he kindly asked, what have you got?
i reluctantly uttered, er... em... i've got... a... er... signed.... Bosc-
"no i don't want bosco"

had lunch that was accompanied by HK style french toast (lol how does that work)
then went to wan chai for Johnson's briefing~ that went for 2 hours.
did not know wan chai, or at least that section of wan chai, literally has nothing to see :x
ended up sitting in a Pacific Coffee Company in the corner, ordered a latte in english and gave the girl at the counter a slight shock, received a large mug of bitter coffee with very thick and dense foam...
doesn't matter, i paid for the comfy couch and air-con, not for the coffee =P
*wishes i had better camera phone to take picture*

we took a dingding to Causeway Bay, because i don't like mtr-ing everywhere :-)
walked around some more, compulsively bought a beanie because johnson said i looked good in a beanie
and i've been wanting a long thin one that dangles at the back so i can wear when i get off the plane
thought it was reasonable price, so i tried on a few, decided on the one to get, and the sales lady told me a completely different price.
no she didn't lie to me.
she did tell me they had a price range.
i was just stupid enough not to ask...
oh well at least it's pretty

after steak dinner at Cafe de Coral (lol) we walked around some more in attempt to find dessert.

ended up spending the money on these cos Johnson really liked the grey dress, (i sound like i'm blaming him for all my purchases but no i thought they were really pretty as well) and they were 170 for one, 300 for two!

I'm justified right?! yes i am =P

i said i'll buy less in america.

i will.

really.

On my only day off, i was stupid enough to walk my little legs off again.
so we planned a day of MJ at home tomorrow waha

Repetitively materialistic days like these make it so hard to live the Christian life and so easy to forget God's grace.

I thank God for all the brothers and sisters in Christ He has given me in this life to remind me to look forward to my future eternal home, and that this place, is not my home.

I pray that this believe could be seen in the way I'm living now.
